Event Policies

🛡️ Event Cancellation Insurance (ECI)

Event Cancellation Insurance (ECI) is available for each track day. Two track day events require two separate ECI purchases that will receive a two-day discount. ECI must be purchased at least 10 days prior to the event date at the time of registration.

The ECI policy supersedes all other cancellation policies and allows you to cancel an event up to midnight the day before for any reason whatsoever. You will receive a 100% event fee credit valid for one year from the event date. No refunds — only event credits. ECI fees are separate from event fees and are non-refundable.

No need to watch the weather and risk being shut out. ECI eliminates the fear of losing your fees when a last-minute issue arises. It works — take advantage of it.

🌧️ Adverse Weather

Our events proceed rain or shine. Learning car control in the controlled environment of a wet racetrack is invaluable and will make you a better driver both on the track and on the streets.

• Natural Disasters (hurricanes, snowstorms): 100% event credit valid for one year, or a credit card refund less a $35 processing fee.
• 30+ days before event: Full event credit, or credit card refund less $35 processing fee.
• 10–29 days before event: Full event credit, or credit card refund less $100 cancellation fee.
• 9 days or closer / no-show: No refunds or credits permitted.

🦺 Neck Restraints

HANS or Simpson-type neck safety devices are required for all 4-, 5-, or 6-point harness systems. Regular 3-point seat belts can be used with a Simpson Hybrid device but it is not required.

🚘 Convertibles

Convertibles must pass the broom test — no part of your head can be above the roll bar. Convertibles must have either factory roll protection or approved NASA/SCCA aftermarket rollover protection.

High center of gravity cars and trucks are prohibited on the live track. They are, however, permitted in parade lap instances.

⚙️ Equipment & Vehicle Requirements

• Snell-rated SA2020 or newer car helmet required (SA2015 is expired). No motorcycle helmets.
• Closed-toed shoes required. Long pants and tee shirts acceptable.
• Fire suits required in all race-prepped cars.
• No handheld devices in cars. All timing devices must be tethered (no suction cups).
• Outside cameras/GoPros must be tethered. No suction cups permitted.
• Both driver and passenger seats must have the same basic restraint systems.
• All cars must have working taillights, turn signals, etc.
• Install tow hook if available. Torque all lug nuts to factory specs when wheels are cool.
• Remove all loose items from cars and trunks, including EZ Pass.
• Ensure your exhaust falls within the individual track decibel guidelines — no refunds for cars that don't meet sound limits.

👤 Minors & Passengers

Any passenger or driver under the age of 18 must sign a special minor event waiver. A parent must also sign and be approved by a TDX staff member. Solo drivers may take passengers 18+ who have signed guest waivers, received a guest wristband, and have an approved Snell SA2020+ helmet (SA2015 expired). Solo drivers must drive no more than 7/10 with a passenger.
